Christmas Eve

We had an awesome afternoon at the church with some great families from our ward.

We played with a parachute and balloons, ate pizza and treats...

And, finished it off with our favorite game...Sardines!
Sardines is like hide and seek, except for when you find the person who is the "hider" ... you hide with them until everyone but the last person is hiding in the same (relative) spot.

This is Greg teaching the kids the rules to Sardines.

Gingerbread Houses

Our yearly tradition (with a store bought kit) ... enhanced this year with the candy I'd hidden from Halloween!

Daddy got in on the fun...creating quite the masterpiece!

Our "Snowy Day"

Another day was all about SNOW. We read "The Snowy Day". Cut out way too many snowflakes and hung them up. Watched "White Christmas". The best part was the "Insta-Snow" we got from Hobby Lobby! It was like magic!

Polar Express Day

The week before Christmas the kids had off of school. I was worried about filling all that time in a happy way...especially knowing I'd be doing it sleep deprived. So, before Aaron was born I tucked away some things in a box so that we could be ready for fun when the time came.

One day was "Polar Express Day". We watched the movie, played with our toy trains, did a train craft, and made our own train...lining up chairs and creating our own tickets, etc. We even had hot chocolate like on the movie! That night Greg helped us set up our Christmas train.

A Few Last Newborn Pictures

A few more moments not to forget (from Mom and Dad's camera)...

These last two are just to remember the hilarity of an "Anne Geddes" photo shoot gone wrong. One night my mom and I tried to get Aaron to "lounge" in a mixing bowl...but it didn't go quite as planned. When the next morning we were able to get the pictures for our Christmas card...they felt doubly as priceless given our attempt the night before!
