Our Family "Staycation"

The following are the beginning of a set of scrapbook pages I'm working of our family "staycation". Greg's work had a mandatory week off this last week...a shutdown where he had to use his vacation time. We decided that instead of travelling....we'd make the most of having moved to a new spot and explore around here. It has turned out to be a great time for all of us! Look for more pages in the days to come.

Where do you get these digital scrapbook pages? I'm getting to the point of jealously looking at everyone's blogs and am guessing will sucumb soon to digital scrapbooking!

Miriam,
I Love, Love, your scrapbook pages. They are so fun to look at. Your family is so fun too! I love the staycation idea. And you inspired us to go on a family canoe outing ourselves.

I've been making my scrapbook pages on Photoshop Elements. There is less expensive scrapbooking software--but we got this because it looked like in the long run it would be most versatile. I know that there are lots of electronic "add-ons" you can purchase...like cute fonts, buttons, ribbons, etc. But, so far all I've used has either come with the software or I've made it. (The background for the "Family Bike Ride" is a picture taken of my parent's driveway.) My pages are still pretty basic. But, it's fun to be able to email them to my parents and others...and I like the idea of being able to make multiple copies for each of our children at some point. We just have a black and white printer. So I have them printed at Staples for less than 50cents a page. Mostly it's nice that they are so fast to make...less than 1/2 hour a page...I was not making that much progress with paper! And the "mess" cleans up when you turn off your computer. =) It's sounding like a commercial! Sorry! Thanks for thinking they're cute!
