Cute Answers to Gospel Questions
When I was growing up we loved a book called:
We recently found a used copy online and received it in the mail this week. As we were sitting around the dinner table this evening, Greg read some fill-in-the-blank questions for our boys. Here are a few of our favorite answers...
How long is a Millennium?
Joshua: 55 inches
What are two things the Word of Wisdom tells us not to do?
Nathan: Not get tattoos, and not let boys get their ears pierced.
Who lost his strength when his hair was cut?
Joshua: Rapunzel

Little Man
At our house we have a "quiet time" after lunch every day. Some of us nap...some of us work/play quietly. Joshua's best imagining and creations happen while he thinks no one is watching or listening. =) Here's what I found after quiet time the other day.

"Romantic"
A few days ago Joshua asked what the word "romantic" means. After I explained in 4-year-old terminology the best I could, Joshua exclaimed, "That's what Elizabeth and I are in the van! We hold hands and we love each other!" It is true that 90% of the time these days when I'm driving and I get a brief glimpse of the children behind me, Joshua and Elizabeth are quietly holding hands.
A Fort + Hot Chocolate = A Great Time with Friends
I was planning on watching a couple of my friend, Deborah's youngest kids one morning when she was back in town. But, we had such a big snowfall the night before that both of our kids' schools got cancelled. She still came and it ended up being a great "snow day" for all of us!
The little ones inside had a great time too...and were only occasionally aware of the excitement outside they were missing. =)

HAPPY Holidays!
We've had a great couple weeks of celebration...made extra special by a visit from my parents for Christmas! More pictures to come...

Our Own Bowser
Greg pulled out his old Nintendo 64 for the boys to try several weeks before Christmas. For Christmas we got "Mario Cart" from Jon and Chelsea. I'd like to think that our family didn't have "obsessions", but I'm afraid this game, its characters, and everything about it would currently fall into that category. (Joshua sleeps with the instruction manuel.)

Keepsake Cradle and Bedding
This is the cradle I put my dolls in when I was a little girl.
For Christmas my dad refinished it and brought it for our little girl.
My mom made this darling bedding to go with the colors of Elizabeth's room.

A Lego Christmas
Wouldn't have been Christmas this year without the Lego sets...and a Dad who makes them fun by totally enjoying them himself! (When I wonder when we'll "grow out of this Lego phase" I realize they're still about Greg's favorite part of Christmas!)
